The Club Sedan was one of the most popular cars of Buick’s 1933 offering, with special appeal in terms of luxury, comfort and performance. In the depths of the Great Depression, the Buick Model 90 competed against even the LaSalles and Cadillacs of General Motors for a dwindling market.

Although production hit a low that year, Buick didn’t compromise on quality for its luxury cars. The Model 90 rode on an enlarged chassis with a 138-inch wheelbase, which was four inches longer than the 1932 chassis. It offered a three-speed manual transmission and a 344.8 cu in in-line eight-cylinder engine to give 113 bhp for plenty of power to speed down the newly built highways.

This lovely Club Sedan is all original, including the nicely equipped interior. The tan plush mohair bench provides a roomy and deep seat for the driver, and the luxurious back seat easily sits three with side arm rests and a folding center rest. The back seat appointments include smart hardware, a carpet-covered foot rail and a robe rail. Dark brown wool carpets both front and back are gently worn but, like the rest of the car, is wearing very well, considering its age. The exterior is a lovely black in very nice original condition with some repainted areas.

The dashboard has a pointer-type speedometer, water temperature indicator, electric gasoline gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter. Conveniently, the clock and glove compartment are to the right of the driver. Other features include high and low beams and inside, push-button control door locks.

This striking Buick Model 90 has been maintained so well that the new owner will be proud to been seen in it. Combine that pleasure with a strong engine, and you have a fun, comfortable and reliable drive both in the city and on the highway. This beauty is a full CCCA classic; it has been on several CCCA Caravans and is ready to go on many more.
